Kahf Labs · An independent lab in Al Khobar

The hard part, done quietly.

We spend our time where users never look: the failure cases, the offline hours, the Arabic sentence typed three different ways. So what reaches you feels simple, and stays that way.

Now in the lab

  1. 01 QasdAmbition, at a pace you can keep Beta
  2. 02 MizwalaThe adhan on time, signal or not Beta

  5. 05 MiqyasThe yardstick for Arabic AI search In development

Three things we do well

  • Software that keeps working.

Because we design for the bad day first: no signal, a dying battery, a sync that fails halfway.

  • Screens that stay calm.

Because we cut every screen down to your next step, in Arabic and English alike.

  • AI that shows its sources.

Because an answer you cannot check is not finished. Ours point to the passage, the method or the reading behind them.

01Products

Fewer things, made properly.

Every product starts as a written spec and a design system before it becomes a screen. That is why each one holds together when you lean on it.

Qasdقصد

Beta Flagship Honest progress

Ambition, at a pace you can keep.

Qasd means purpose, and a steady stride toward it. Every task hangs from a goal, every day becomes blocks you can actually finish, and every week ends with a review that tells the truth. No streaks to protect, no inflated percentages: where there is nothing to measure, Qasd shows a dash, not a zero.

Mizwalaمِزوَلة

Beta Works offline No ads, no account

Five things, done faithfully.

Prayer times with an adhan you can rely on, the Madani Mushaf with recitation, a khatmah plan, adhkar and the Hijri date. Nothing more. Everything is calculated on your phone, so the adhan keeps time without a signal, and the app has nothing to sell you.

Waslوصل

Beta Straight to your Drive

Sync that asks before it acts. Pick a folder on your phone and one on Google Drive: Wasl shows every change before the first sync, pauses before large deletions, and keeps what it replaces for 30 days.

02Promises

What you won't find here.

Some decisions are easier made once, in public. These four hold for everything we ship.

Numbers we made up.

If there is no data, you will see a dash. Every score, chart and percentage comes from something real.

Answers without a source.

When our AI tells you something, it shows where it read it, or says plainly that it could not find it.

Anything that sells your attention.

No ads, no trackers, no streaks built to make you anxious. Our products earn your return by being useful.

Screens that shout.

When everything is fine, our interfaces stay quiet. They speak up only when something needs you.

03The name

Every lab needs a cave.

Kahf (كهف) means cave: the quiet place you withdraw to for work that matters, and leave with something finished. The name comes from Surah al-Kahf and three of its stories: young people who withdrew to protect what they believed, Musa following al-Khidr to learn from him, and Dhul-Qarnayn building with knowledge, iron and many hands. Refuge, learning, building. We try to practise all three, every day.

04Founder

Ahmad AlModhayanأحمد المضيان

I'm Ahmad. Before Kahf, I worked where mistakes are expensive: executive reporting at Saudi Aramco, systems at JAAZL Industrial that were not allowed to stop, enterprise IT at Rezayat Group. The habits of that work came with me: measure first, fail safely, write it down before you build it.

Bring us the hard part.

A product that has to feel right in Arabic and English, an AI that has to be correct, a system that cannot go down. Or a seat in the Qasd and Mizwala betas. Every message is read, and answered, by a person.
